Mt. Ulap Eco-Trail was launched last October 31 2015. A perfect destination for day hike and for beginners like me.Spanning around 8 km through several peaks along the Ampucao-Sta. Fe Ridge, with a trail surrounded by pines and scenic view of Baguio City, Cordilleras , Mt. Arayat, Mt. Ugo and Mt. Pulag.
The jump-off point is in the Baranggay Hall of Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet.

Water sources : No regular water sources in the Ridge itself
Cell Phone Signal: Present in most parts of the trails.
Walking along the trail surrounded with pine trees and picturesque view make this climb so relaxing, plus the music of nature and the perfect weather . Take your time and feel the kiss of fresh air and embrace the cold weather that can relax your mind.

Going up is optional,but going down is mandatory :D. Descending to Sta.Fe is the hardest part about this adventure. ” Basagan ng tuhod kung baga” . But, you don’t have any choice. We took it for only 2hrs. After passing couple of mini hanging bridges, you’ll eventually reach the highway. In Sta.Fe you will find houses who offers “Shower Room” to wash up after the hike.
How to get here:
Ride a Bus from Cubao or Pasay to Baguio [P460-750; 4-6 hours],then a Jeepney from Baguio City to Brgy. Ampucao via Philes-Bound route [P50; 40 mins]
Note: It is also possible to rent a taxi from Baguio City to take you all the way to Brgy. Ampucao and back. Fare: 1000php-1500php
From Sta.Fe there are Baguio – Philex Bound jeepneys along the exit. And the guides of the Ampucao Eco Trail will surely help and contact jeepneys for you in Sta. Fe.
Fare: 50 pesos per head
What to bring:
-Bring at least 2L of drinking water
-Trail food ( expect a long walk)
-Most of the trail is open, bring something that can protect your skin from the sun.
-Don’t forget to bring garbage bag. Practice LNT
